Question # 1
Let us open our heart’s door and ask ourselves, how Mary’s humble, courageous, dynamic yes, can make our daily yes to God more aware and deeper so that we may be increasingly available to Him and at the service of the people He entrusts to us, especially the neediest?
Daily reflection of the Word during this Lenten season has deepened our love and devotion to Mary. We see her totally devoted to her Son, accepting the challenges she daily encountered. At the cross she stood faithful til the end.
Mary followed her Son with utmost fidelity, her eyes focused on others as we see her at the wedding at Cana. We too are seeking to imitate her courage and humility as we walk with each other especially during this difficult time. We trust as Mary did and bring hope to those with whom we come in contact through the means of communication available to us.
Question # 2
Is this not what we desire for our communities; to be accompanied by Mary so that those who meet us can feel that our hearts burn with love given with tenderness and gratuity; that our experience of God may become the power of evangelization, spreading the passion for vocations?
As we renew our commitment to follow Jesus Christ more closely we implore Mary’s continual accompaniment. We want to show the young people how fortunate we are to have been called to religious life especially as Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. To all, especially the young people we will witness that our hearts burn for our Lord, Jesus Christ.
